one of our long-time residents threw a farewell party in the clubhouse yesterday. she excused herself from her guests for a few minutes to stop by our office to thank the staff. she also gave vanessa and i roses. so sweet :)
currently working on the travel itinerary for my pending european excursion. though my post-study wanderings have yet to be finalized, at the very least, my month in salamanca is set in stone.
with all this trip planning, i decided to go through the photos from last spring. this is one of my favorites from an afternoon walk through the “golden city.” the plateresque detail on salamanca’s old sandstone buildings works in harmony with the sun’s rays. there are those moments when the light hits just right, and this was one of them.
i don’t just own heels because they add to my height (i kinda like being a shorty and couldn’t imagine life being any taller), but i fell in love with the gray pair months ago because of the stiletto’s shape ♥. it was a pleasant surprise to find out that they were, in addition to being shmexy, incredibly comfortable. i had finally found a pair of 5-inch platform stilettos that didn’t make me want to weep with every subsequent step.
and because a good shoe is a good shoe, i bought them in black. LE WHEEEE!
spending the remainder of the evening in front of my trusty mbp, planning my upcoming jaunt to eur.
i needed some company, so i opted for coffee from a french press and a little bit of bailey’s. it’s frigid out—why the hell not?
